Full Stack Web Developer — I build for production, not for the demo.

~/about/luis.md
I'm a full-stack developer based in Medellín, Colombia, specializing in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS. I build and maintain software that can't afford to fail — from new microservices to production systems with years of history behind them.
My most consistent work has been the same across three different companies: stepping into complex architectures, understanding what's actually broken, and stabilizing them before building anything new on top. From there, I get involved in everything — from the code itself to the conversation with the product team.
Outside the editor I'm a gamer and a bit of an otaku — interests that show up in the details, not the noise.

Joined a critical project in bad shape and helped stabilize it, with coding practices that cut its errors down considerably.
Where it all started: from intern to development analyst, on traffic-authority and fine-collection systems built with Java, Spring and Oracle.

Freelance and independent work. Web and mobile apps I've built end to end, on my own.
A bookings and payments platform on a Go microservices architecture —catalog, booking, payment, users and real-time chat— with a Flutter mobile app, a React back-office and infrastructure over Firebase.
An enterprise management application with a Java and Spring Boot backend and an Angular frontend. Dashboards with charts, interactive Leaflet maps and PDF report generation on a modern Java stack.
A web and mobile application for managing road maintenance for the Antioquia Governor's Office: tracking contracts, needs and investments, with an Angular web app, a Spring Boot backend and a Flutter mobile app.
A tool that turns Markdown into print-ready documents: exports to Word and paginated PDF, renders Mermaid diagrams and highlights code. Built with Astro and TypeScript, available offline as a PWA.
An in-browser image editor: crop, resize and batch-convert to WebP, AVIF, JPG or PNG, entirely client-side with no uploads. An installable PWA that works offline.
A QR code and micro-site generator: create QR codes for links, locations and contacts, plus lightweight pages to share information instantly. Angular frontend with a Node.js and Express backend.
