About me

Hi, I'm Luis.

I discovered software development in high school and taught myself out of curiosity from day one, which led to my first industry job at 16.

Today I have 8 years of experience as a full stack developer, with my greatest strength in Java backend. Along the way I've confirmed one thing: good software shows in how it works, even if nobody knows who wrote it.

My focus is on clean, efficient code, on designing architectures that age well and, above all, on making what I build have a real impact on the people who use it.

Carvajal Tecnología y Servicios

Electronic invoicing, EDI and tax documents for companies across Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

I am on the platform team: together with Architecture we build the libraries and shared services the rest of the software factory runs on. A good part of my job is going in where something uses too many resources or falls over under load and leaving it stable; the other part is keeping the stack current so it does not age. When a team gets stuck on something complex, they call me.

    A tool that turns Markdown into print-ready documents: exports to Word and paginated PDF, renders Mermaid diagrams and highlights code. Built with Astro and TypeScript, available offline as a PWA.
